"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

hmmm...in all honesty, I can't really remember. I think you need to upload a pic under Customization > Desktop Screenshots > Windows
than go to your user display options page and select your screenshot in the desktop screenshot drop down menu. If this doesn't work, let me kno and I will try to figure it out.
